Dr. Jeff Scott
Known to FCM as “the dollar store man” or as the lecture coordinator for the ventriloquism section, Dr. Jeff Scott is the senior pastor of Colonial Ave. Baptist Church in Roanoke, VA and a religion professor at Radford University. He likes to “look at things funny,” finding unusual uses for everyday items. Children’s workers, clowns, magicians and, and family entertainers will love the way he combines humor and inspiration in his object lesson booklets. His booklet, “Venting in Church” is a must for those just starting out in ventriloquism in ministry settings.
Jeff has a Ph.D. in religion from BaylorUniversity, a Masters of Divinity and a Masters of Religious Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and his undergraduate degree was from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He has been married to Debbie Scott for 28 years and am a father of two (Amy who is in college, and Brennan who is just finishing high school). The entire family is talented in creative ministries. Debbie is a chalk artist and has coordinated the chalk art section at FCM. Amy enjoys interpretive movement and Brennan is an accomplished juggler.
